Niara Hardister
Dancer
Niara Hardister (she/her) is a dancer from Riverside, California. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University and works in both the concert and commercial dance industries.
Her next performance will be the Met Opera’s new production of Carmen, premiering December 31st. Followed by a showing with Kyle Marshall Choreography at Jacob's Pillow on February 10th.
Niara is in her second year as a company member of Kyle Marshall Choreography. She is also a member of the Metropolitan Opera Ballet, where she performed as a soloist in Lucia Di Lammermoor and in ensemble roles in Lohengrin, Die Zauberflöte, Fedora, and Rigoletto.
Her dance credits include the Joyce Theater, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, the American Dance Festival, and Le Festival des Arts de Saint-Sauveur. She has also been featured in brand campaigns with Bombay Sapphire and Oberima Afriyie.
Niara has freelanced with Justice Moore, Reed Luplau, Tislarm Bouie, Thryn Saxon, Nicole von Arx, Ann Yee, Elena Vazintaris, Helen Simoneau, Natalie Lomonte, Whitney Sprayberry, Serge Bennathan, Sara Erde, Carrie Cracknell, Simon McBurney, Jamel Gaines, Christopher Huggins, Nicolas Fiery, Sofia Forero, Tucker Davis, Jumay Chu, Byron Suber, Nic Ceynowa, Eryc Taylor, PUSH Dance Company, the LV Dance Collective, and Printz Dance Project.
